Get your fireworks sign
A proven method of deterring some people who use fireworks is to post a yard sign on your front lawn or side yard. Try to make the sign visible from the street. If you have neighbors that are also opposed to the use of illegal fireworks, promote the idea of everyone having a sign. Download the sign materials – they’re FREE – and then have FedEx Office make the yard sign for you. It’s inexpensive and can be very effective.

Everyone should be able to enjoy fireworks on the 4th of July, New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year, and on other holidays. The best way to do this is to attend a professional, public show.
Not only is igniting fireworks dangerous, it ignores the people who live in your neighborhood. We believe it’s essential to think about your neighbors and here’s a few reasons why:

“Safe and Sane” fireworks have the State Fire Marshal’s seal stamped on the packaging. This seal indicates that the explosive substances contained in the firework have been tested and meet specific safety and performance requirements, but nevertheless are illegal in the City of Los Angeles.
